Encore (IOD #5) ~ Bermuda Fleet ~ $30,000
Originally #13 Black Magic (the first boat out of the Bermuda mold) the boat was extensively rebuilt and sailed again in Race Week 2000 and has raced regularly since. See photographs below and in Gallery section of this website.
Fibreglass with wood cabin and combings by Bruce Dyson, aluminium mast, boom and spinnaker pole. One set of racing sails (to fit the LIS rig used in Bermuda) and one set of cruising sails.
Encore is currently rigged with the single spreader LIS rig but may be purchased without this rig. Estimated shipping and cradle build costs from Bermuda to New Jersey are approximately $8000 – will vary dependent on shipping of the rig.
